At a glance
ClearCommit is published by AverixForge. The app helps you keep track of subscriptions, bills, renewals, optional Quick Expenses, and related notes. It does not automatically connect to financial institutions or send your personal subscription records to a ClearCommit server.
- No account or sign-up is required.
- No advertising or analytics SDK is included in the app.
- Optional receipt OCR, PDF extraction, and voice recognition are initiated by you and designed to process selected content on-device.
- Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat used to provide purchase and entitlement functionality.
Data on your device
Information you choose to enter may include subscription or bill names, prices, currencies, billing and renewal dates, categories, status, notes, provider links, payment-method labels, household member names and settlements, Quick Expense titles and amounts, and reminder or display settings. Do not enter full card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other credentials; ClearCommit does not need them.
This information is stored in the app’s local database and settings on your device. Calculations such as recurring totals, budgets, forecasts, and voice-query answers are performed locally from the records on that device. The app does not provide an account or cross-device synchronization service.
Permissions and optional tools
- Notifications: If you enable reminders and grant permission, the operating system schedules local notifications on your device. These are not push campaigns or advertising.
- Calendar: If you enable calendar sync and grant permission, ClearCommit creates or updates renewal events in a writable calendar you select or the platform default. Sync mappings are stored locally. You can turn off sync and remove app-managed events in the app.
- Photos, camera, and files: If you choose receipt scanning or import, you select the image or document. OCR and PDF text extraction are performed on-device; the selected content is not uploaded to ClearCommit.
- Microphone and speech: Voice recognition starts only when you request it. ClearCommit requires on-device recognition and does not send audio to an online recognizer. Availability and offline language models depend on your device and operating system.
- Siri Shortcuts: If you invoke a shortcut, Siri receives the phrase and any values you provide, such as a question or expense details, under Apple’s Siri and privacy settings. ClearCommit receives the shortcut values through an app link and calculates answers locally.
- Biometrics: If you enable App Lock, your operating system performs the biometric check. ClearCommit receives an authentication result, not a copy of your fingerprint or face data.
- Internet access: The app can use network access for app-store purchase services and to open a provider link when you ask it to. It does not upload your subscription database.
Optional purchases
ClearCommit may offer a one-time purchase to unlock unlimited Quick Expenses after the free allowance. There is no recurring ClearCommit subscription for this unlock. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment and controls payment details, receipts, refunds, and store-account records.
The app uses RevenueCat to load store offerings, validate purchases, check entitlements, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process a purchase transaction, product and entitlement status, an app user identifier (normally an anonymous identifier when you do not create an account), and technical information needed to operate its service. ClearCommit does not send your subscription names, notes, household records, or expense entries to RevenueCat. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing, exports, and external links
When you export a CSV, calendar file, or backup, the file is created only after you choose the export action and is saved or shared using the operating-system interface. Encrypted backups are protected with a passphrase you provide. Exported files are outside ClearCommit’s control once saved or shared.
If you open a service’s website or a store subscription-management page, that site receives the request according to its own privacy policy. ClearCommit does not act on your behalf to cancel or change a provider subscription.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain on your device until you delete them, clear all local data in Settings, or remove the app, subject to operating-system backup behavior described below. Clearing data in the app does not erase files you previously exported or records retained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat for a store purchase.
Because ClearCommit does not maintain an account or server-side copy of your subscription records, there is no ClearCommit cloud account to close or cloud database deletion request to make. Store purchase records are managed through the relevant app store.
Device and operating-system backups
ClearCommit does not run its own cloud backup or sync service. Separately, iOS/iPadOS or Android device backup features may copy app data to a backup associated with your Apple or Google account, depending on operating-system behavior and your device settings. ClearCommit cannot inspect, control, or directly delete those platform-managed backups. Uninstalling the app or using Delete all local data does not necessarily remove an already-created system backup immediately; manage backups through your device and account settings.
This website
The ClearCommit website is intended to be a static information site. The site files do not include advertising pixels, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or contact forms. The hosting provider used to serve the site may process basic request information, such as IP address, browser details, and request time, for delivery and security under its own terms and privacy practices. Contacting support by email shares the message and address you choose to send with the email provider and the support recipient.
Children
ClearCommit is a general-purpose finance organization tool and is not designed to collect information from children. The app has no child-directed account or online profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the support email, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The effective date above indicates the latest revision. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
